Respect can mean different thing like respecting other people listening,use manners and showing all your attention to the speaker. you would Respect a marae or people in it or an old place. example if you are going to someones house you might take your shoes off,or sit down if they offer you something you could say no thanks or yes please.

ReplyDeleteI noticed you mentioned a few places like the marae, an old place or someone's house. Would respect look differently at these places? I wonder why? What are some ways we might show respect at the marae? How might we show respect at the urupā or at our whānau's place?
Hi Miss Fleet in some maraes have different respects some might have taking your shoes off or just leave them on or family s might do dishes or the caregivers might do it.
DeleteAt old houses or houses you could shake the other persons hand and yous your manners and dont touch stuff and if you just touch,mess up the place you could smash the hold place thats why you respect houses.
Some ways you could show respect by helping out with outside caring stuff for my nan and helping cousin with the bird like feeding it.
